Mahindra Has An Order Backlog Of Over 1.43 Lakh Cars | Motoroids

Mahindra and Mahindra recently revealed that the brand has an order backlog of over 1.43 lakh cars as of July 2022. Out of these 1.43 lakh cars, the XUV 700 has over 80,000 bookings, followed by Thar with 26,000 bookings. The Mahindra Bolero has garnered over 15,000 bookings while the XUV 300 has received 14,000 bookings. The XUV700 and Thar are clearly the most popular Mahindra SUVs in the market now and both command a waiting period of over a year. Mahindra will also be revealing the XUV400 EV in September which is basically an electric version of the XUV300.

Mahindra recently launched the new generation Scorpio N at ₹11.99 lakh. Though the Scorpio-N is all-new from the ground up, it will co-exist with the current Scorpio which will be rebadged as the Scorpio Classic. Bookings for the Scorpio N will begin on the 30th of July. As of now, Mahindra has revealed prices only for the manual variants. Prices for the automatic and 4×4 variants will be revealed on the 21st of July.

This SUV will be available in Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8, and Z8L variants.  The Scorpio N is available with a turbocharged 2.0-liter Mstallion unit that produces 200hp and 380nm of torque. The diesel engine is a 2.2-liter Mhawk unit that is available in two states of tune. The base Z2 gets 132hp and 300nm of torque whereas the higher variants produce 175hp and 400nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The Scorpio also comes with 4×4 as an option which comes with Mahindra’s 4xplor system which comes with Terrain modes.

The interior of the Scorpio N will be equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that runs on the Adrenox system paired with Sony’s 12-speaker premium sound system, the switchgear, and the rocker panel that houses buttons for various functions, and the steering wheel is shared with the XUV700. The instrument cluster is an analog unit with a large color MID. The center console houses the swivel wheel for Mahindra’s 4Xplor system which can be used to select the various terrain modes and 4 low.
